Shabbat
The Wedding Feast

When the LORD describes His work as “finished,” in Genesis 2:1, the word He uses for finished is Bride, “cala.” When a Bride walks down the aisle her former life is finished and her renewed life has begun. And when the LORD calls His whole creation His Bride, He is making a declaration of His Love. He celebrates His Bride on Shabbat, and He invites us into His bridal chambers. Our work is finished, and we turn our full attention to our LORD and Savior.

In Genesis 2:2, the word God uses for His work, “malach,” means “messenger” or “angel.” Everything God created carries His message. That’s why Paul said that all of creation speaks of the glory of God. (Romans 1:20)

Finally, in Genesis 2:3 we read, “And Elohim blessed the seventh day, and made it holy.”

We have the glorious privilege of resting in God’s Holiness as His beloved Bride and His Messenger every Shabbat.

Sunday
Light Vanquishes Dark

The First day of the week, Sunday, is a day of God’s glorious power and authority… the day of new beginnings.

God created light on the first day of the week. (Gen 1:3)

Then He separated that Light from darkness. (Gen 1:4)

His Light to the world, Yeshua, rose from the darkness on Sunday. (Luke 24:1)

Pentecost arrived on Sunday.

On Sunday, we thank God for His incredible gift of life, light, resurrection, and His indwelling Holy Spirit. We start each week afresh in the newness of Who He Is, and what He is providing for that week.

The Ancient Israelites dwelt in Egypt in the land of Goshen.
When the plagues devoured the rest of Egypt
Goshen remained safe and at peace.

God has asked us to create “goshens,”
Places where His Tiferet, His Glorious Beauty, in Hebrew, reigns.

Environments where God’s love and discipline,
Held in joyful, creative balance, turn lives into beautiful works of art.

Communities surrendered to God’s Will,
Dedicated to fulfilling His Heart’s Desires,
Embraced by His Arms of Safety.
